Smartphone Film Festival

If you shot it with a smartphone, you can send it to SPFF.

SpffAwardsThe Smartphone Film Festival is an independent festival showcasing short movies made on smartphone by Halifax professional, amateur and first-time filmmakers, app addicts and mobile device wizards. Selected films will be shown at SPFF’s one-night screening party in spring 2017, where filmmakers and film lovers will watch the creations and cheer on the winners of SPFF awards (“the Spiffies”) for the best movies.

Whether you’re an amateur filmmaker, a pro, or a first-timer, SPFF is waiting for you. Everything you need to get involved is in the palm of your hand. Submissions are open to all ages. And it’s free to enter.

If you have more questions about becoming a Smartphone Spielberg, we have a whole SPFFAQs page.

Whether you’re an amateur filmmaker, a pro, or a first-timer, SPFF is waiting for you. Check out last year's 'Spiffies" for some inspiration.
